Taylor

Taylor Swift may be the most unusual of pop artists: one who was able to effortlessly bridge the gap between country and pop, conquering the globe. Swift shed her roots in the country genre like a second skin and showed that she had the best pop sensibility of the time. Swift was the only artist/singer who could follow the zeitgeist of popular music when she went on tour. Her talents were apparent in some of the first songs she released, most notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless that came out in 2008, she could identify her true identity and gain audiences across the globe. Fearless was a huge success worldwide, not only in the United States (where it received with six platinum awards for Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia as well as the U.K. and other countries. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous popularity and launched the singer into superstardom. Swift's popularity continued to grow through her subsequent three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) and Reputation in 2017 and saw her move confidently into a realm of pop music in which she was already a part. The popularity of her music grew after she altered her plan in 2020's more streamlined siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
