April Ross
April Ross is only one of the few beach volleyball athletes to win medals multiple times at an Olympics. In Tokyo during the next few days she will attempt to net her third medal with fellow first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. But more than that, Ross will be aiming for the first Olympic gold. As she is 39 she could have her last chance. Her optimism is that she'll be successful in achieving top honours. If we play our highest or perform well, I think we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. In addition, I'm planning be relying on a little bit of luck. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. While at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many sports. Apart from the indoor game, she also was a basketball player and also ran track as a pre-collegiate athlete. She was definitely the best player in indoor volleyball. According to her bio, during high school she played volleyball as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a setter (outside blocker). Thanks to her hard work she was awarded an 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. In addition, she was awarded the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. While Ross Klineman and Ross have been doing their thing since 2017, the former was already a big-time athlete on the beach long before their pairing. In reality, she's won multiple big tournaments and one partner was an all-star volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until the year 2013. Along with Kessy Ross was awarded an Olympic Title in 2009 when she competed internationally. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded a gold medal. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the team of legends who won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, beat each other to take home the gold medal. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement when she retired. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC during her college days, prior to becoming a professional. Her experience at USC was awe-inspiring. The year 2000 was her freshman year. saw her earn the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of Year awards and be an All-American. The Trojans could also make it to the Final Four with her help. In her sophomore year, she was devastated by a personal setback but managed to be a second All-American. Over the course of her final two seasons she led the Trojans up to the summit and clinched consecutive national championships. As an individual, she cemented her place in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players in the country. Ross was a major in International Relations at USC. Margie Ross wasn't able to watch her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. Ross's mom died from cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. She is devoted to her late parent. Margie, on the beach as well as in everyday life, continues to inspire her.
